IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT Internet Explorer and Active X
As of the April 11 Windows Security update, MS Internet Explorer will no longer auto load Active X controls which launch Windows Media Player, Flash, Real Player and other applications from within the IE browser. The reason for this change stems from a law suit that Microsoft lost as well as security issues.
What does this mean for IE users?
Beginning with the April Security update, users may frequently see a dialog box like this one requiring them to manually activate an ActiveX control on a web page.

Or as in this example, to play video files.

Or this one to enter your user name and password on restricted sites.
